On Monday, July 18, 2016 the NHPRC –funded “Family, Immigration, and History: Grade 10 Citizen Archivists in the Digital Age” kicked off with an evening of training, camaraderie, food, and visitors. In a previous meeting, Elaine assigned areas for the graduate students to create bibliographies that correspond with Units 5 and 6 of the NYC Social Studies Scope and Sequence. These topics include: Scale, Globalization, Family, Queens, Immigration, and Modernization. On Monday, Kathy introduced tools to assist the students in creating and sharing their research.  Many of the students had become familiar with Zotero for their own research. Now, they will create and share annotated bibliographies with the entire team.

All the workshops are open to students and faculty in the History Department.
