The closer we get to the July workshop, the more important the question, ‘What is digital history?’ becomes. Much more than just the digital preservation of documents and photos with software, this aspect of historical scholarship is an open door to possibility of investigation by the onlooker. The idea of digital history as a way to deepen the level of discovery or to see an event from another perspective are just some of its uses. A question for participants to ponder during the workshop is, ‘What would I like my students to know about the many family histories of Queens?”
